Activity goals
Activity goals set how much daily activity animals should get. ShelterSync uses them to show progress on the dashboard and in reports, so you can spot animals that are falling behind and make sure attention is spread fairly.

Who can use this page: administrators.
How goals are organized
A goal is a target number of minutes per day, set per species, per category. For example: "dogs should get 30 minutes of Enrichment a day." The category here is an activity category — the same list you manage in Lookups — so a goal always lines up with the categories your activities use.
Set goals
- Add a default goal: pick a species and a category, and set the minutes per day. This becomes the target for every animal of that species in that category.
- Override for one animal when needed: on an animal's profile, the Goals tab lets you raise or lower a target for that individual (for example a senior dog that needs less).
Once goals are set, the dashboard's goal-progress card and the activity reports show how many animals are meeting them.
Adding a new category to use here
If the category you want isn't listed, add it first in Settings → Lookups → Activity categories. It then becomes selectable when you create a goal.
